Attendance Leaders

Each year group has a representative young leader who takes responsibility for the attendance and punctuality in their year group. The Attendance Officers meet with our Attendance Lead, Mrs Ashton, to discuss the importance of being present at school, on time, every day.

They are responsible for distributing the weekly attendance data to each class to inform them of their percentage of attendance and the number of lates for the previous week. They tell their peers if they have reached their attendance target of 96% or above and if so, they will give them a piece for their Mr/Mrs Potato Head. If the class has received no late marks, they also receive an additional play time/ treat time.

When each class earns ten pieces on their Mr/Mrs Potato Head, they earn a reward. The Attendance Officers have discussed and generated ideas to ensure that these rewards are motivating and enticing for all pupils in their year groups.

These young leaders take their role very seriously and enjoy encouraging their classmates to have excellent attendance and punctuality.
