Attendance
Our aim is for our children to receive the best possible education and for each child to achieve his/her full potential.
In order for us to achieve our aim, each child needs to attend School, on time, every day, unless the reason for absence is unavoidable. It is the parent/carers’ legal duty to ensure that their child has a good attendance record and failure to do so can lead to prosecution (Education Act 1996 Section 444) and can delay progress and continuity of the learning of their child.
Attendance Policy Addendum from Halton - November 2020 can be accessed here.
We have two Children and Family Support Workers in our School - Mrs Angela Paget and Mrs Gill Gaskin. Their aim is to encourage 100% attendance in School. Where children fall below the expected 95% attendance, they will support families to ensure an excellent attendance record.
