Learning outcomes for Year 3:
In Year 3 we love being creative and we enjoy learning through investigating.
We have a fantastic learning environment including our brand new classrooms, the forest area and other outdoor areas for the children to explore.
We provide lots of opportunities to learn through discovery, stories and visits.
We strive to ignite children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, building upon their independence and resilience through a residential experience.
As a team with our parents, families and children, we endeavour to enrich reading, writing and mathematics through opportunities in practical activities and talk for learning which allow the children to reach their full potential. We encourage positive relationships through celebrations, rewards and are continually developing this through the Art of Being Brilliant.
PE
All children will wear their P.E kits to school on their set PE days throughout the term. You will be updated of any changes in PE days as soon as possible.
This term the Year 3 P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday.
For example, during the Autumn term the children will be accessing fundamental and Gymnastics lessons and will be participating in swimming lessons later in the year (more information to follow regarding swimming and dates).
Reading Books
The children receive new reading books each week on a Friday and will need returning every Thursday.
Please ensure that your child has their reading resources in school every day.
